12 Ounce Copper – .016 inches thick – 26 gauge – 16 mil – Approximately 1/64 inch thick. Weighs approximately 12 ounces per square foot.
Can be bent or formed by hand or with tools. Can be cut with tin snips or shears or by scoring with a with a utility knife.
12 Ounce Copper is often used for sculpting, jewelry making and similar art and craft projects.
12 Ounce Copper can also be used for flashing with asphalt shingles. Heavier copper should be used for flashing longer lasting roof materials such as slate.

This material is not masked, meaning that it is not protected from scratches. If the material is for a cosmetic application, this material is not ideal.
Smooth, yellow-red finish and highly ductile. Unpolished.
